Yes I’m a bit disappointed hopefully she’ll lose at bingo on Friday night.
I’ve seen a five and a half metre great white , chicken doesn’t come into it.
It attacked the cage with the divers in it.
Yes , an exercise in futility , I don’t know what went wrong but brand loyalty was stretched in a way that was counter-productive
It takes very little time and doesn’t even cost much these days to hire someone to put together a new section for a company’s web page. For some reason they must think it’s not necessary.
I feel, that possibly, they are victims of incorrect thinking …
Yes I know but those guys do stir them up, there’s a bit of debate going on here especially in South Australia (2 fatalities in a few months) about shark gage tourism. Some believe it might be responsible for triggering a shark to human response to food.
But they truly are a magnificent creature.
This was at a place called Seal Island , they didn’t need much stirring up.
I think a surfboard looks a lot like a seal from underneath…
And legs in a wetsuit straddled either side look like flippers….
The thing is, the surfers et all accept the dynamic and risks and are at peace with it, which is admirable….
For me – that’s their home, this is mine…! I would have been born with flippers if I was meant to be in the sea more often…

Mrs Pete thinks until they knock on our doors they’re fine.
Lol! Brilliant…
Apparently, many more peope are killed by cows every year, than by sharks.
I’m not making this sh*t up, I read it somewhere that seemed respectable at the time.
I could quite believe it. Never much liked cows!
For some reason shark attacks just get lots of media coverage, which probably skews the perception of actually how often they do indeed happen….I guess it’s the drama appeal….Bit like plane crashes – safest form of transport in the world by far, you’re much more likely statistically to die at the wheel of your own car or walking down the street…but when there is one, they tend to be large and dramatic….
I think sharks are amazing and impressive creatures, we should leave them alone…a peeve of mine is when there’s increased calls to go hunting a shark after a human incident or to have general culls……It’s their domain and they have frikin sharp teeth…What did you expect?! – Leave ‘em alone…!!
Think I’ve posted it before more people are killed by horses and bees in Australia than sharks.
Well said SC. I guess the shark attacks seem more gruesome and horrific than getting crushed by a cow.
All the same, I don’t think I’d want to do a lot of swimming around Oz.
Yep, gotta keep that Epi pen at the ready …
It’s a big place to swim around
Good one. I like a morning chuckle.
What’s that about Pete? What are they doing with the stones?
I was somewhat surprised to read that in most years there are no human deaths from the deadly spiders that inhabit Australia.
