We live in the middle of nowhere. It’s not quite the outback because it’s England, but it’s a very unpeopley area.
We’ve been ou here 20 years and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
Blissfully quiet most of the time😉

Nice. Thanks for your input. I’ll be bringing these posts up in conversation with Mrs 1111. We’ve always wanted to move out, but things have stopped us up to now. In about a year, we’ll be unhampered, and reallly, I think the kids can handle a 45 minute drive to visit. And us going to see them as well.

When I said friendlier ealier in, I wasn’t kidding. People here, especially outside the central city, really keep to themselves. Thay’re okay for a quick Hi, how are ya? Bye. But nothing meaningful or at all close. Most Canadians here refuse to use names because it implies a caring or closeness that scares them.

Think that’s a sad indictment on how most live in the city these days. I was shocked by how London had become so distant if you’re there on your own you are really on your own. No one looks you in the eye and everyone is just in a hurry or busy looking at their phones.

Yep, that’s exactly what I’m saying. Very cold world these days. But again, I do think living in the country is quite different, especially from what you and @QuickSticks say.

It’s not all roses in the country areas

Positives and negatives

Hmmm … interesting. Yeah, I can see there being issues everywhere. But aren’t people a tad more relaxed with each other in the country areas?

Well Mr Rain on Our Parade that’s the same everywhere. There’s always pros and cons

Knew that would get a bite from you know who :crazy_face:
