Playing this in memory of Gary……he played and was lead vocal on this star studded cast for his friend Henry McCullough ex Wings. His vocals and keyboards are excellent.

Very sad news- R.I.P. Gary Brooker.
I have memories of going into a local pub when I was a teenager. A guy there played the electric organ and we always asked for Whiter Shade of Pale. Happy days.

Every performance I have ever seen or heard of Gary Brooker live - particularly AWSOP - has produced goosebumps. Fantastic voice, which he never lost, and immaculate timing. One of the greats has gone - but his legacy will live on.

I particularly love this Procol Harum live, and I like to remember Gary with this cover.

Ros Atkins, he of BBC Explainer Videos fame, just posted this version on Twitter. It’s quite stunning.

Very touching indeed, thanks for posting it.
Amazing how his voice had remained the same as when he was young.
