I still have a 5.1 system on the living room TV, not because we want it, but just because weāve had it for 20 years. If I ever make a change, Iāll do what I did for the bedroom TV: use a Mu-so2. That is just about perfect for us.
Iāve never heard an explosion or gunfire in a film that I thought
I wish that was more musical.
100% with you on this!lol
All that may depend on how big is your room, how accurate still are your earsā¦.if you want or not to have a screen tv between your speakers ( I donāt).
In my case the tv sits near our sitting place and we hear very clearly. The tv is not big.
Maybe one day I will add a sound bar under the tv but for now we donāt need.
@anon17458420 Not wanna be rude here But are you sure those Tannoys you have are Turnberry? Not Kensington? They look pretty slim compared to the Turnberry.
It seems a lot of testing and listening is done by naim in personal for example by @110dB and problably a lot of others.
Now I am wondering what kind of music they chose in order to do good testing and so on.
Maybe a special playlist or maybe just naim radio.
If some one knows perhaps please list. I would like to listen it on my own system.
Radiohead springs to mind.
I did read an interview with Steve saying he was enjoying at the time Sohn - Trust with some other electronic stuff, id also be interested on other things
Had an opportunity yesterday to spend an hour at a dealership listening to the new classics hooked up to Sonus Faber Amatis. At home, I have the Amatis and the 500 series with nds. New boxes sounded ok, but not close, especially with orchestral music. The soon to be shipped 300s had better be much improved for the money. I do like the white logos though!
Home Theatre Hi-Fi have given the NSC 222, NPX 300 and the New Classic NAP 250 a great review
Itās a bit sad that he couldnāt make comparisons vs the classic range. If only he could write that the new 250 put the 300 dr into dust.
A review without any comparison vs other components on similar price level is just pointless.
It all about getting viewsā¦ While you might want to know how that comparison plays out, ācommercial pressuresā are probably against it happeningā¦
It did not when i heard itā¦ā¦preferred the 300 dr, other views may prevailā¦ā¦ā¦it is a different sound signature. I will be listening to the 300 series next monthā¦ā¦will see how i feel that sounds.
My post was a bit sarcasticā¦ā¦related to the banging posts about how the 250 .3 smokes the 300 dr by the well known member.
If you read Stereophile or the past Hificritic, the reviews inside do make comparisons.
Itās the reason I donāt give much attention to magazines as Hifi News, Hifi Plus, Absolue Sound or What Hifi. They advertise more than review.
Sorry but Iāve never said this. Fwiw, I posted the following earlier in the year -
The New Classic NAP 250 is superior but not at the blow it out of the window or blow it out of the water and or at a night and day difference level better than the NAP 300 DR.
I suggest maybe Musicraft you should go through all your posts on this subject
Has got a bit tiresome
Iām pretty sure I was told Turnberry. Unless the people in the shop got it wrong. They were pretty good on the end of the Naim new classic.
Relax. It is just a opinion.
