I should say that I have a Nait 50 and it is brilliant, the 1500 dollar service sounds great value against the price of a new Nait 50, and a good phono stage is cost effective
What did you do in the end… the N2 and N50 are quite different animals with different capabilities and performance envelopes, however if you like your N2 then get it serviced… which I suspect is what you did?
I didn’t realize how modest/limited the N2 power output driver transistors were/are… interesting what Naim squeezed out of them back in the day.
Definitely get it serviced, but the phono stage in the Nait 2 is very good.
Thats a lovely CD player, - room seem very large for those Tab 10 though.
Bet they sound the business with N50
My Ovators S400 would fit such room size and distance to rear wall.
Hope you have a chair to sit in.
I have a pair of Tab 10 Sigs on the end of a Nait 50 the room is a bit smaller than yours though

I’ve not yet heard the Nait 50, so I cannot offer a direct comparison. I just received my Nait 2 from service/recap. To put it mildly it has created an existential crisis in my mind. (Well, hifi crisis) The Nait 2 has already dethroned my Supernait2/HiCapDR in the office system. The little Nait sounds more alive, has more boogie, instruments and voices sound lifelike. It keeps my attention and makes my foot tap. The Supernait is dull by comparison. It’s testament how good the Olive Era electronics are and I find myself searching for 72’s and 52’s. Could a full regress happen at home with the 500 system?
I would still love to hear the Nait 50.

Service was performed by the Focal/Naim NA folks. $400 and 3 week turnaround. I’m pleased with the results.
Perhaps I should grab another Nait2 and sent it to AVoptions for their ultimate service. Curious to compare at 10 times the cost!

Enjoying my P8 and Nait 50 right now and Mr Avishai Cohen’s trumpet sounds absolutely addictive.
Recently had the NVC TT (+ NPX) with the Nait 50 for a home demo and thought that was quite something but it does add layout.

That would be nice to verify where N50 is in this hierarchy, hurry before they are finally gone.
Nait 2 was my first foray into this niche, have a N50 to unpack at Christmas.
I loved them, had a kind of mood.
