Members of the family are travelling to balmoral appparently. Her health has not been great rcently so a concern
I noticed how frail she was with the new PM, wish her well.

I remember her and Phil visiting my home town
In NZ ( her first visit ) I think in 1953, I was 3 years old , waving my paper NZ flag with mum and dad and my 2 brothers as she passed by near the big black steam trains

I notice in news reports that, within a minute of the announcement of the death, Charles & Camilla are being referred to as the king and queen consort.

Very sad news indeed. Our country has had no other Monarch in my lifetime.
King Charles (as we must now get used to calling him) will have been expecting (and probably dreading) this for most of his adult life.
