It also has both a rotary slider which moves slowly for precise control together with +/- buttons so you don’t have to choose one or the other. And it displays numerical volume.
The Naim app is very good IMHO, but nothing is perfect. Perhaps a post in the Feature request thread might be in order.

For using a slider in the app, rotary or linear, the unit needs a feedback channel from the unit to the app to tell it its current value (or omitting a volume adjuster on the unit). I.e., either digital control or some additional mechanism added to an analog pot to read and transmit the value back to the app. There are not many models currently in the Naim lineup that could make use of such an app graphic. Maybe in the future with the 272-2 and if other models receive a volume control update
