The silliest things that bring pleasure, often inexpensive too

:grinning:

Barbecuing late in the garden but my haul for today at B&Q:

1 - A £6 2 gallon watering can - brilliant, why have I struggled with inferior items!

2 - garden parasol - £30 reduced from £100

3 - Cast iron BBQ wok reduced from £40 to £12 - what a bargain going to get another

4 - tentative - huge garden parasol at less than 1/2 price

After years of various sized trolleys, with three different types of keys on their chains, none of which matched the chains on the trolley cabins in the car park, Tesco have finally got in a new fleet of trolleys which all match and what’s more they steer where you push them. Happy days!

I’ve come to realise in recent years that I always pick the trolley with a wonky/sticky wheel. Bizarre unless they’re all defective.

Recently, a £5 bag of mealworms from B+M! Each morning I do the rounds filling the bird feeders. Towards the end of this process, every morning, a robin pops up not too subtly prompting me to dispense some mealworms on top of a garden wall. My does that robin look pleased with its breakfast offering! Various little birds follow up and clear all left overs when the robin has had enough. Simple things…!

Just a different dried insect. Best to shop around, most sell by the litre, but 5 kg is so much more worms than a 5 litre tub.
