My first car was a Hillman Avenger 1250. I had a second one further down the line (so to speak), a 1500 with a leathercloth roof.

I can’t remember the exact year, it must have been around 1970 ish my dad had one of these in Silver, which followed a Morris 1100, happy memories

Interesting choice. My stepdad had small Fiats, an 850 followed by a 127.

I suspect the survival rate was not good.
On a quiet night you could hear Vauxhalls rust, Fiats needed ear defenders

First car I owned was Renault 10, same green as the photo (source internet) with a wonderful tan and black interior.

My first flight was in a Tiger Moth as a kid. 20 years later the 2nd flight was in Lufthansa 707 en route to Entebbe
This was the first public display by LZ842 after its rescue and rebuild. And Marinell returned to the UK last year after a few years away in Italy and the U.S.
