Different church with massed pipes.
Started with Nimrod, ended on Joy to the World. Been a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Do you know why the pews have barriers part way along?
I’d guess that it’s for strength. Mitigates against the domino effect.

Any Bach on the program? Perhaps Nun komm der Heiden Heiland (advent 1).
Don’t recall there being any Bach. Some music from the Gladiator movies and some from a Dutch composer of never heard of (and who’s name I’ve not remembered). In all only about 45 minutes recital as there were so many other events on during the day.
Willy.
Was it modern music from the Dutch composer or renaissance / baroque?
I only recall the organist saying that he was closing with two pieces, one by a Dutch composer we’d likely never heard of, don’t recall the name, and one tune we would all have heard before, Joy to the World.

Coincidence…. Several decades ago, Sue and I saw the ENB doing The Nutcracker at the Mayflower….
No digitals in them olden days. None of them new fangled gizmos; proper ballet, that were!
Ciao Mark,
I’m so sorry for this. Losing a friend is horrible. Bright side, the room you sleep in when you are here is much more comfortable than the last time. Come soon.

I find the idea of an Ukulele orchestra in church fantastic, there’s hope after all.
I had a chat with my browser’s AI (Claude3, DuckDuckGo), typed all the data of my prostate cancer’s stage and asked for a prognosis. It was interesting.
May not be the case there but, historically, a lot of English churches separated the pews like that to ensure space was reserved for an entire family ( of whatever size)
Little known fact. Krakow airport doesn’t have a Cat 1 landing system.
Greetings from Katowice.

Dont you just luv it🥺
Did you ask them how long you got to live?
My oncologist warned me not to Google my cancer and gave me a few trusted sites that have credible information. We’ve also asked the kids not google it either.
Spent a couple of hours in the “eye department” of QAH.
Very nice people…….they’re going to stick a needle in my eye next week. And joy-of-joys, another two to follow!
Happy daze!
Yuk…….best of luck, not appealing at all, guess not doing is far worse😬
Thanks! I feel a large bottle of gin and an even larger bottle of tonic water will be needed……
This issue only arose, coz I was sent for an eye test (“Because you are now officially an old buqqer!”….thank you, my dearly beloved!).
The optician found a “pimple” on the retina. They spurred the NHS into action, and I was referred within a week! Nice going NHS!
