That looks very smart indeed. The only thing I’d ask is whether you have put that fuse inside your Naim amplifier. If you have, it may void the warranty and is really not a good idea.

Tried that already Gazza. Unfortunately it chokes and just gives an error.

I have to echo HH’s post here. Please don’t be tempted to replace the internal fuse on the NAIT XS3 with anything other than the one it was designed to take. This is more than just a warranty issue, it’s a critical safety issue. The fuse is there to protect against catastrophic failure and is very precisely rated. If you’ve ever seen these things being tested to destruction with no fuse or with the wrong fuse (raging fire from the transfomer anyone?) you would agree.
