We were so poor we had to live in a cardboard box on a rubbish tip! And we considered ourselves lucky!!! :joy:

Don’t get me started on the cheese as it’s a bit runny “bring hither with all haste my good man“!

CDX2, XPS2, 202, 200, NAPSC, HC DR x2, Headiine 2 plus Zu speakers plus Hutter Racktime plus Powerline plus Powerigel plus HiLine etc. Comfortably £20k. Probably closer to £23k as I recall.

Your recall and reading is slightly faulty. I spent some time trying to figure out why my system sounded intermittently shocking. The issue was partly a dealer error causing some damage; partly it being a Naim system requiring far too much faffing with cable fettling etc. and partly the simple fact my ears required a different sound.

Zero trauma around my now 3 box system. Sure there’s an intriguing hum issue to be solved but it’s not impacting musical enjoyment. It’s a simple system which is a joy to use and gives consistent highly detailed and engaging results. The hum is a puzzle but it’s just that.

Not sure where overthinking has come from in that context.

They’re very interested in separates. Coming with me tomorrow to listen to a Nagra DAC, streamer and 300B.

What they’re not is interested in them for them.

My system - essentially a combo of Sonos speakers, Wiims with Ruark speakers, Bluetooth HEADSET, & A MUSO QB2 doesn’t have any hum, etc.
Whole setup runs via LMS.

We’re entering the era where simple is no longer lifestyle. It’s the norm; the aspiration and makes total sense because you can now do simple at really excellent levels without actually having to think about it too much.

Music saves :wink:

What about military bands😁?

I will arise and go now, and go to the hifi,
And a listeningroom build there, of clay and acoustic panels made;
Three hifiracks will I have there, a hive for the odd elpee
And live alone in the stereo-loud glade

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the musician sings;
There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the Lark ascending.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear transformer hum lapping with low sounds by Naims’ Core.
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart’s core.

Yup, after Yeats but no AI.

I had an Irish colleague in the past who had the habit to start staring in the void and recite Irish poems before returning to his hotel room.

I can confirm my ability to read, understand and recall is just fine.

Searching tether finds your thread immediately. You posted a list of prior problems with Naim equipment.
And, thread lasted over 12 months, with over 1400 posts.

Have you forgotten about the replacement rectifier and valves???

Thank you @mikehughescq for your enlightening comment as I discovered something new: I never knew that expressing an opinion in a mannerly and quiet way was considered arrogant and distanced. I find your attitude disrespectful and offensive, therefore I don’t need to comment any further.
