Today I tried Airplay streaming Tidal to my Wiim Mini from my iPad and I really enjoyed the clarity and detail I heard. Then I switched to Tidal Connect, and I think I like that too. Has anyone compared Tidal Connect and Airplay on the Wiim Mini? What differences in sound quality did you notice? Which do you prefer and why?
Update: I also tried Airplay Qobuz streaming to the Wiim Mini. Very good indeed! The sound stage is huge and feels real, but feels a bit more up front to your face compared to Tidal Connect (same for Tidal airplay). I think I need to listen more.
Update 2: I think I can tell which streaming method is better now using my headphone system when connected to my 2nd Wiim: the winner goes to the Tidal Connect!
