Thanks !
Hej Kinder
ISP is just your internet provider like yousee or norlys. If you have internet via cable, you may have the same problem I had.
good if you already have a fix !

Ah, I see. Thanks ! God jul ![]()
After complaining multiple times to my ISP, they finally switched my service âfrom a net server to a public serverâ. Iâm struggling to understand what this means, does anyone here have any idea? To be clear I wasnât using any private network before.
I will find out later if this has stopped the stuttering Tidal services in the evening.
Did they say what kind of server they were referring to?
If itâs a DNS server maybe they switched from one of their own to a public one such as Googleâs?
They didnât am afraid.
I am afraid that is gobbledygook. Ask them to explain in clear language. It means nothing technically without a specific described context or in English.
It could be lazy language changing the DNS, but the ISP DNS should always be preferable as it should be quicker unless poor quality (and other factors) .. and further it would have no bearing on the stability of Tidal whilst a track is playing out. (ie stuttering)
Each track is streamed from a CDN with a URL that will point to a resource from one of the global major CDN service providers. These CDNs are used all over for streaming, social media, etc and so would typically be cached or listed in local ISP DNS.
DNS is only used once at the start of a new network session if the remote host is defined using URLs which is usual for the internet, ie translates the URL name into something the internet can understand so a network session can subsequently be established.
We use Tidal Connect most days - as it sounds the âsweetestâ on the NDX2.. we have not had one service issue yet. We preferred this over Qobuz Connect - so we let that expire.
I tried Tidal once again recently, in my new home. It was sounding inferior to my local files on Melco and was freezing often.
Today I am on Qobuz hires through Mconnect HD app, with my Nds. Since one hour itâs perfectly stable. And the sound is better than Tidal through Naim app. A bit leaner vs the local Melco files, but very good.
Lots of people blame Tidal regardless of the brand. I cancelled the subscription after a week of issues and never came back.
some do seem to⌠however for me Tidal is rock solid⌠we have not had any issue what so ever.. and itâs used almost every day⌠it just works and sounds good for a streaming service.
I do wonder if there are issues with ISPs or home networks.. but canât think what they would be in a general sense. What is interesting the streamingCDNs used for Tidal are the same in many instances as used for social media, Qobuz, Netflix etc⌠so I wonder what else is at play.
My experience as well.
