2021 TdF - Saturday 26th June - Sunday 18th July

Will put the competitor start sheet up later when its finalised :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:

Anyone going out to watch it on course anywhere this year?

The “Tour Tracker” app is well worth checking out if you haven’t already. Covers all the major races with all the details too

Can I just establish at this point where we are with posting during stages or shortly after? Last year some people did not want any comments posted until the following day to avoid spoliers. Personally if I have the highlights to watch I will just look away but not everyone was happy with that.

Maybe the thread can be tagged ‘spoiler alert’ if posts within 18 hours of a stage finish are to be allowed.

Looking forward to the race.

Bruce

No prolouge ? interesting way to get the gaps at start is a couple of hilly stages.

I think that putting a spoiler alert in the thread title (as was done with the Giro) worked very well

Is it as good as the official TdF app?

We are looking forward to the TdF this year. We missed it last year because it was postponed. Since my childhood I have watched it.

Not sure never tried the official TDF app…the Tour Tracker covers all the main cycling races. Gives you details of all the standings, stages, riders etc. Give it a try it’s free

Just an observation to pass the time:

In this years tour there are 3 riders called Cyril,
and they’re all members of the same team: B&B Hotels - Vital Concept :slightly_smiling_face:

This race is so unpredictable, but that’s half the attraction to it.
As far as analysis goes it’s good to hear Chris Boardman’s commentary live on ITV4, one of the best imo :+1:

Agreed, Eurosport is OK but ITV4 much more chilled!

Or even Boardman…

Yes, agree, ITV4 will be my choice for this edition.

Nice to see Cav back in the peleton.
