For those with transformer hum on older generation power amps, now almost non existant on current kit, take a look at U-tube videos on the operation of electrical sub-stations. Mostly shot in the US. They deal with realy massive amps/volts and are noisy enough to need sound deadening jackets, oil cooling radiators and surprise!cooling fans. And then they still hum oftem badly. The arcing of power down is spectacular with a swinging arm remotely, what else, controlled.
