I seem to have an issue where when streaming from Tidal the treble is slightly unruly, not on all tracks, but most, and especially at higher volumes. Does not seem to appear on radio or from my local server (as you would expect the Rega Planar 3 is as smooth as silk). Any ideas would be welcome.

Have you compared Tidal Connect (via the Tidal app) with Tidal from the Naim app? In both cases, check that the lossless stream is enabled in the app. Even if you are paying for a lossless service (Tidal HiFi) you won’t get it if a lower level is selected in the app settings.
You could also try a Qobuz trial subscription and see if it’s any better.
