Trying Hard

Take a look at the photo I just found.
Mana phase 7 with an active SBL 4 pack. Looks crazy (very sympathetic wife) but sounded pretty good!

Yes, pretty crazy - was the house suffering from subsidence?

@Polarbear will remember the Mana fights on a now defunct hifi forum!

Debatable. I think they are more alike in sound than any other stands I’ve heard. I always found the Mana’s quite neutral and detailed despite many saying they could sound a bit ‘zingy’. I think zingy is more an issue if they weren’t set up properly. I still reckon my LP12 on a 4 stage Mana is the best it’s ever sounded.

That’s actually tipped the house up. :scream:

Those were the days when everyone strived for a lot of boxes. Nowadays it’s the other way round.

Maybe in certain quarters, but I don’t think it was ever a mainstream hifi desire, that having been mainly source(s) preamp, power amp and speakers, though in Naim world an additional power supply or two.

You are going to need a fleet of servants to dust that. Which is also my dislike of things like Fraim with it’s double-shelf design.

I have a hard enough time dusting simple open shelves but Mana strikes me as something designed by a person who never once did a moment of housework in their life.

Something like that should do the trick.

Why members post those crappies pictures ?
Or , in a good mood : my Eol table needs 5 seconds to be cleaned.

Mannequin looks a bit hard faced. Surely silicone rubber’s the way to go.
