I recently had a new screen installed on my NDX which had a firmware update by the installer. Now I cannot see my old preset radio stations.
Further, when I search in genres for blues, there is only one local New Zealand station which is a rock station. I cannot see any of the thousands of international stations for any genre.
TIA
Your old presets will no longer work as they will be pointing at the vTuner radio service which is no longer used. You’ll need to delete them and search/save them again to access them via Naim’s in house radio server which replaces vTuner.
Thanks for your quick reply.
In the Focal Naim app, under Internet radio, I see Naim’s Choice. There are nine categories. Under Jazz, there are only seven stations. Is that where you mean, or should I be looking elsewhere?
Thanks
No that’s not what he means. That is just an internet radio tuner for your phone. It’s nothing to do with the NDX.
Go to the home page for your NDX in the app, then delete each one of the favourited or stored stations (they are all pointing at the old service that no longer exists).
Then select iradio in the NDX home page and wait while it populates the index. You may need to go to the Now Playing screen (by tapping the bottom of the phone screen in the app) and tell it to stop looking for the last internet radio station it is trying to find at the old address that doesn’t work any more.
When you have the index showing, just navigation gate from there. Naim’s Choice is just a selection of station that Naim has chosen. There are thousands of others which are listed by geographical region.
Success!
Thanks for such a clear explanation.
