Turning my Unitistar on!

Hi All, my Unitistar is not waking up from standby. In order to get it to recognise the remote / my phone app! I must power the unit down, once power is reapplied! All works fine! Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Are you putting it into deep sleep?

No I cannot see it in the app!

As I said I cannot see it in the app. I press the on button and still it is not visible in the app!

Maybe an issue with your router and the DHCP lease time. You could try finding a setting in your router to assign the same IP address to the Unitistar to see if that helps.

I think that as Robert suggested, when you put it into standby at the end of the day’s listening, you are putting it into deep sleep not network standby.

If your Star is on, working and visible in the app, then to put it into network standby you just press the power button once briefly. Half a second for instance. The Star goes into network standby and remains visible in the app. It can be woken by app, remote or by pressing the front panel button once briefly again.

If your Star is on, working and visible in the app, then to put it into deep sleep, you press the front panel button for a couple of seconds or so, until it starts to shut lights off etc. It is now invisible in the app and the only way to turn it on is to press and hold the power button until you get some reaction from the Star, the take your finger off and let it start up. Or you can take the power off and then plug the power in again, in which case it will start up normally.

If the above doesn’t help, you need to tell us more, like is this a new problem or has it always been like this? Which app running on which device? What does your network consist of and how is the Star connected to it? Etc.
