I’m about to start rearranging some of my gear and one of the changes will be moving the turntable. Doing so means I need to add a shelf on my Fraim. Wondering if capping it with a Fraimlite shelf vs a standard Fraim shelf will make a difference. I think I might like the look of the Fraimlite better
There was a previous thread on turntables on Fraim, but I’ve not come across anything I can recall on Fraimlite; BTW, the TT is a Rega P3. Any inputs, as always, greatly appreciated.
I have my TT on a Fraimlite shelf, though never compared it to a full Fraim level. I’m using a non Rega TT so this may not apply but I can say changing out feet/adding isolation made a very noticeable difference in my case.

I don’t use a Rega, but when I had my Clearaudio Ovation, and later an Innovation Wood, I used a Fraimlite on top of my Fraim brain stack. However, I put a 17” x 19” MDF shelf on top of it (with some well spaced feet). On top of that I had a 19” x 17” HRS isolation base for the turnable. That worked quite well as long as I had it. A Rega is an entirely different animal though, so just a Fraimlite shelf alone might work well enough.

Do you think a TT isolation base performs better than the glass shelf / ball bearings on the Fraim? Could be a reason to go Fraimlite and put the £ saved to a base. Just thinking.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to put my turntable on the glass of a Fraim shelf (too risky, IMO).
My turntables are high-mass designs and work better with isolation bases designed for them. I use HRS isolation bases, but they cost more than a Fraim level. When I had my Ovation I used an isoAcoustics Delos, which is a lot less costly.
I couldn’t tell you what would work best for a Rega. Last time I had one I used a Target wall shelf.
I have a Pink Triangle Anniversay on my Naim Fraim, however, the Pink is sitting on the True Point Audio platform.
I have my LP12 on a Full Fat Fraim shelf, no problem at all.
