I’ve always tried to the cables tidy but the rack has to be as close to the wall as possible so that means it’s impossible to not have them touching so after seeing pictures of speaker cables supported on strips of foam insulation, I thought I’d give it a go to keep the cables from touching each other.
I also used some insulation to take some strain off the SL IC from the CD555. I don’t know whether it’s just that or a combination of the others but I’ve definitely noticed a difference since.
I admit to being a bit of a cable dressing skeptic until now but now I’m a believer! 
It’s also one of the cheapest tweaks around too. Total cost £1.25. Bargain!
