Fortunately I never read it anyway
There was an ex twitter employee on radio 4 this morning. She claimed twitter owes Google a billion dollars for storing data in the clouds. I think .
Twitter has been using Google Cloud, but is migrating away from it, on cost grounds. I read that the limitations/changes Twitter have made are to avoid/reduce the costs due to Google.
The only thing I’ve ever used twitter for is to receive up to the minute info from local police and local highways authority (e.g trees down etc) during periods of severe weather and before I retired for race race-related info during local motorcycle road races when as part of my job I had a need to know. I will miss the ability for the former, but I have no intention of signing up for what otherwise I see as an extreme anti-social platform.
