I think the NAP200 does a decent job, but I believe I haven’t heard the 160’s fully open up and sing linke they’re capable of.
I have not heard a NAP200 but the person who took my 250DR chose to keep it vs. the 250. Said the 250DR had a “fat” sound. This coincided with my reading somewhere on here about some Naim kit having a “thin” or “fat” sound. I believe some said the 250DR was “fat” and the 300DR was “thin”. After going from one to the next I think I understand although neither term is derogatory. Also, I think the SupercapDR enhances this “thin/fast” sound.
A 250+ wpc amp that fully doubles into 4 ohms will reveal a different side to the speakers. Not the overall sound I was seeking but I was surprised by their capabilities.
