Unconventional listening positions

I’ve decided that my favorite listening position is in a couch right between the speakers.

They are the Ovators, tilted slightly inward, and, probably because the BMR has wide dispersion, I don’t feel I’m losing detail.

It’s the position where the music feels most alive and engaging for me. Of course, the soundstage is weird (drums usually come from behind, bass below and behind), but I don’t care. It’s so immersive. And it sounds great in low volumes too.

Anyone else tried similar ways of listening?

I do sometimes position myself right between the speakers (with them pointing to normal position), and enjoy the effect.

Sounds like you’re wearing a pair of bassy headphones.

But you are inside the soundscape instead of it being just inside your head

And the bass can be felt!

That depends on the headphones.

They must be some headphones if they can get you to absorb the bass through your entire body!

Yes that probably can’t be done. It might be possible to get the rest of the effects though, like an “out of your head” soundscape.

Expelling gas reserves in time with the music.
