Hi all,
I have never been able to use the AirPlay feature of my Atom Uniti. I’m running latest firmware (12-12-2024).
Sometimes it asks for a password upon connection and sometimes it doesn’t, but the result doesn’t change.
Web-based diagnostics is 100% ok except just in the AirPlay section which shows this message with a red flag:
If you are using the latest firmware then you’ve been through a reset already.
That sounds to me like a hardware failure. Maybe start with a ticket via support@naimaudio.com
Me too. I noticed it after a recent firmware update also. I contacted support by email and I was told to try a hard reset but I couldn’t get that to work on the basis that this should have erased my radio presets. Also, my Atom HE wasn’t listed in the devices available for AirPlay. I reset all settings from the Settings on the screen which did erase my radio presets. The unexpected change was that the Atom now appears in the AirPlay list of devices and I could AirPlay to the Atom. Diagnostics still reports “Unable to find auth. chip!” even though AirPlay is working. I reported this to support and they said to monitor the issue for a few days and If the problem with AirPlay persists and the message continues to appear, returning the unit to us under warranty would be the best course of action.
My main use of streaming is via ethernet.
I find it interesting that other people have got this issue after a firmware update.
This is strange, looking in gthe diagsnostics I see the same error message, however airplay works just fine, so the error is misleading maybe it has always been there I do not know, but it does not necessarily mean that airplay does not work. The request for a password would make me suspect something is wrong somehwhere. I have never looked into requiring a password I know it is an option on the qb classic but not something I am using.
My nd555 is connected using ethernet, maybe I would see the problem if I tried it wireless.
