Latest firmware installed (3.12.0 (5738)) and ever since my atom will not display track titles from USB FLAC or MP3. I have factory reset, I have checked all ID tags etc, soft reset, tried server mode, etc nothing works.
Is this a known bug? Should I raise a ticket?
Are you viewing the files in the USB input or the Server input?
It’s actually ok in server mode, but via the usb it isn’t working and hasn’t since the latest update
The USB input uses a basic folder view so it’s not browsing tags that you would see on the Server input. I can’t see any reason why this shouldn’t work if you have music files arranged in the usual way with a suitably named folder for each album. Worth a call to Naim support if you’re not seeing this.
(Server Mode is an optional setting that allows other devices on your network to access the music on your USB drive, but I don’t think that’s what you mean. If you are viewing the files on the USB drive via the Server input you should be able to browse by metadata. You don’t need to enable Server Mode to do this.)
Thanks, so I can view all the information for each track, album, etc when going in via USB or via the server route. I know all the tracks have all the right metadata as part of their files already.
What is really confusing is that if I play the same track via USB and server mode, the USB route will only show the track number on the display (it will briefly flash the track name on play) and the server route will show the track name.
I normally don’t use the server mode as it consumes power in standby and my hard drive is plugged in directly. So I’m not really sure what’s going on. As you say, might need to flag it direct with support.
Edit: apologies, I should have been clearer in my first post, this is specifically when playing a track as it displays on the screen if the atom, not browsing files.
