I have a six year old Naim Uniti Atom paired with Focal Aria 906 and SVS 1000 pro. Previously I had a Rel T3. I’m also using Philips TV via ARC and Cambridge Audio Alva TT via Bluetooth. Last week the Atom was running very hot (hot to the touch) and I took out the power cable. Later (a few hrs later) I plugged the power lead back in and the atom wouldn’t switch on. I can hear two clicks when I plug the power lead back in. I have checked the fuse. Any thoughts or solutions?
That’s a shame. May I just check that you either removed the mains cable from the back, or turned it off at the wall. Switching off with the front power button will not do it. The next step is your dealer, or call Naim Support.
If it’s within the warranty period then that is your route to take. I don’t know whether the Atom has a thermal cutout or not, but it shouldn’t die if you are not driving it to crazy levels with difficult speakers. Speak to your dealer and smile nicely.
