To preempt you;
The phono din socket is designed to be used with a Naim phono stage only eg stageline and provides both signal and power connection. [purple]

An external phono stage made by someone other than Naim can be used with any of the analogue inputs. [dark blue]

Thanks, Robert, I’m using the RCA analogue inputs for my Planar RP3 and it sounds fine. I’m not sure that a Stageline would be much improvement on my current phono stage, a modified Cambridge Audio 640P,so no changes planned. Yet.
