I have a Unitilite, configured with Western Europe firmware updated yesterday. I have reset factory settings several times and reconnected to WiFi - but no matter what I do I cannot get the radio to work. I have the default presets in the app and when I click for example Naim Radio it just says connecting endlessly. Tried also with cable. I don’t get any stations at all in the Iradio section of the app. I’m lost. What can I do?
Firstly you have to delete all your favourites on your Unitilite Home Screen in the app. None of them will work now anyway.
Then when you get the connecting message, go to the now playing screen (by tapping the bar at the bottom of the screen) and then tap “stop trying to connect” or similar wording, then go back to the iradio home page in the Unitilite bit of the Naim app and you should see it populating with the new iradio service. Choose any station you like and it should now connect.
Basically all of that above is doing is stopping your Unitilite looking for iradio stations at vtuner destinations that no longer work.
I don’t have any option to stop trying to connect. I press stop on the unit itself but nothing happens. Anything else I can try?
What happens if you ignore your current favourites and browse the iRadio input? Can you navigate the menu and select (non-favourite) stations there, either to play, or to save as favourites? These should be the stations accessed via Naim’s new internet radio service rather than the obsolete vTuner service.
The app always comes back after reset with 5 presets and it always tries to connect to Naim Radio first. The list of stations is empty and doesn’t populate even if I wait an hour.
These are the values in about the app
So delete the five presets and then I suggest turn off the UnitiLite at the mains, wait a minute and turn it on again. Hopefully now it won’t try to find Naim Radio and instead populate the iradio index.
