Unitiqute 2 ip Problems no display

Good Morning

I have an uq2 Problem is that I gave a fix ip Adresse with and old Router. Now I have a New Router, the Display is died and I have no idea Joe to change now the fixed to a static ip.

Is there a possibility to Go to the Network Setting with a pc?

Many thanks Alex

No, there is no other way to access the settings unfortunately.

However, one trick that works for me with both my dead display UQ2 and NDX is in a totally pitch black room, view the screen through you phone camera in night mode (with the light set to off). It is very faint but phone cameras can pick up wavelengths eyes can’t. For example, if you look at a remote control while pressing button, you can actually see the IR light through your phone.

I believe there is also a factory reset blind sequence on several threads too which will revert it to DHCP and factory settings.

Hello thanks for the tip with the Night Mode on the Handy Camera, but the Display is total dead. I can‘t see anything.

There’s a sequence for a UQ factory reset using the remote

Hello thank you. I tried, but ip is still fixed

You will need to get the unit set back to DHCP using the settings menu. There are a couple of options:

Do a full factory reset. After it has completed, ensure that there is a working wired Ethernet connection, restart the Uniti, and restart your router.

Without a screen you will have to guess at the correct button presses. Consider fitting a new screen. There’s an eBay seller based in France who can supply one, and he can usually give advice on installing it if required.

Using either guesswork or a new screen, rather than a factory reset, go into the menu and set the device back to DHCP.

Whatever you do, always restart both the streamer and your router before expecting them to work.

Set your new router to use the same IP subnet for the LAN as your old router , the same Wi-Fi name and encryption method , if the uniqute was using Wi-Fi.

You then should be able to access the device.

Good Morning, I ordered now a Display and Hope that I Canon fix it by mysilf. But many thanks

That really should be low hanging fruit here. My UQ2 and NDX both have static addresses and DNS. But despite moving several times since I got them and having changed the router 3 times, it hasn’t been an issue because the first thing I did when I got each router was set the same class C network and define the same portion of that for DHCP and static respectively.

As such, I never even bothered to think about the fact my items uses static config until you posted that because they have always just worked and not given me a reason to think about them.
