Unitiserve CD Stuck

I have a CD which won’t eject from my UnitiServe. I thought there might be a post on here already about this but I can’t find one. Anyone have any solutions that has worked for them?

Thanks

You might find that if you turn the US off (the proper way of course) and then turn it on again, it will eject the CD as it restarts.

Another thing to try is that there is a small hole on the front near the slot and if you poke something like a paper clip into that, it should eject the CD manually.

There should be a small pin hole underneath the CD slot which should eject the CD if you push in a small pin.

My response crossed in the post with David - apologies for repetition.

Will give the OP more confidence with two of us telling him to poke something sharp into the front of his precious US!

It helps if the cd is still inside, unlike as i posted a while ago, the wife took the cd out…and then went shopping😬

Thanks both, turning off (the proper way) and on solved the problem. I was armed with a Paper Clip just in case

Much Appreciated - Gazza, what can I say? I hope a suitable apology was forthcoming!

The CD being stuck can happen on many occasions, and one gets used to it, I usually go for the paper clip solution as it is quicker.
This seems to be an issue with the CD’s along with non-ripping CD’s rather than the UServe.

It was a very funny story Gazza and I’m glad to enjoy it all over again!

<<< I know it’s not recommended to “operate” the US without help from Naim specialist >>>
For sharing, my friend’s US CD also stuck, one jammed pinch stuck that made the CD couldn’t come out. He tried on /off many times as well as the tiny hole but it doesn’t work. His unit has no warranty, cost quoted by Naim is more than the unit’s cost.
He decided to open the unit cover, unplug the cable, unscrew the CD drive and simply take the stuck CD out. It took almost 15 mins. Now it’s working and ripping again.
