Wow, those Mani-2 bring back some memories … those were extremely diffucult to drive, isn’t it?
Unplug and return as faulty. My Atom never gets even slightly warm and I have had it running continuously for two years now.
I do use A5 with Naim connectors on the ends plugged into the Atom by the way…
FWIW I had a Nova for a few months and it did get quite hot, so much so that I asked the dealer if it’s normal - and I used it as a streamer/pre into the power amp …
Success, took unit to a newly accredited dealer who investigated and got a fix from naim .Apparantly a known fault.Unit intermittently oscillating( aprox 2 mhz ) 2 caps replaced and unit has behaved itself ever since.Original dealer never logged the fault so unit not under warranty anymore . Still I have an operating unit now ,I was considering a trip to the tip.
