Although it has a lot of interest from forum members, @Richard.Dane made a valid point in the old firmware discussion about the added value of asking for updates on the next firmware.
It will be ready when it’s ready. If not there are good reasons for Naim not releasing it yet.
Mind you, I’m full of anticipation myself as well but I think asking for this is bound to lead to the topic getting to the same point eventually as where Richard decided to close the 3.11 firmware thread.
Richard, good to hear this. Can we have timeacales please, as Naim owners have waited a long time for this. Communication is all important. The feedback I would give Naim customer services is that we are mushrooms in a cupboard and haven’t got a clue what is going on!
If it is going to take 3 months, 6 months, 12 months or more it will close things up. Custoners just need to have sone idea.
Personally, I am cool with 3.11. It is ‘alright’, not great, but okayish!
No idea Dan. And, as I’ve posted before, and as Paul B has explained to those who have visited the factory, it’s just not possible to give timescales that mean anything. AFAIK it’s down to compliance and security so nothing that exciting, and I guess it’ll be released as and when it’s ready and passed.
Hi All,
This thread is very well timed, as 3.12 has been released today.
However, New Classic firmware is a little bit further down the line. Realistically, we’re probably looking at early June, but of course things can change (for better or worse!)
