Updating Uniqute 2 w/out display

Hi All, I acquired a S/H Uniqute 2 last year. Now, of course I’d like to do the 4.9 firmware update. My question is - my Uniqute has no display (I’m sure it’s the connector cable as there’s a sharp bend in it which if I press the display sort of returns). Do I actually need the display for the update? Can I just start it and leave it for a couple of hours? . Update will be from a Macbook Air via USB C.

Internet Radio Issues

You will be able to update the 172 without a working screen, the factory reset at the end of the update process isn’t strictly necessary, so just delete and re-save any iRadio presets afterwards. There is a method for carrying out the factory reset from the front panel - if you wish to do it, let me know & I’ll refresh my memory! Bear in mind that a factory reset will lose any wifi credentials & those won’t be easy to input without a working screen. Regards Neil.

The update only takes about 15 minutes. So leave it for a minute or so after you get the green tick from the updater program before trying anything and you should be fine.

Thanks, my network is hardwired so don’t need to worry about WiFi
