Only been a couple of hours since Pete made his way back to a snowy Chester but first impressions…
The P8 is a revelation. More detail, more warmth , bigger soundstage just wonderful. Just more of everything that I think that will be even more revealing when I upgrade the Arcs.
However the biggest improvement ( and I’m staggered ) is the CD player with the Shawline. Previously the SA12 sounded great but perhaps not quite as good as the CDX 2. Now the new interconnect has elevated CD playback to a level I’ve never heard before.
It’s still not as good as analogue but my word it’s very very good.
