After some careful consideration and seeing a lot of system pics, I’m not going down the upgrade path. I like how it sounds at the moment and don’t want a house full of black boxes. Not sure if Naim is the Apple of the HiFi world. I might get a Flatcap, I might just try the pre/power in a mains conditioner. Too much stuff out there to get stuck in one direction??
Quite right. I vowel also not to purchase another bit of HiFi equipment for the rest of this year.
Good luck
Upgradeitis still beckons but I am on hold for 2025 as we contemplate a move of location. Whatever the new place allows will dictate selling off bits and replacing according to space. Who knows a one box and set of active speakers may do the job, however unlikely it seems to me now.
The other thing is the perennial question as to whether I need to feed this hobby that has become an obsession, there is always something new and better but do I really need it? I’m particularly reminded of that at the mo being bed bound with a back strain and listening to an Altair streamer, cb set up and 35 year old speakers which are sounding pretty good.
My first Naim upgrade was a Flatcap too.
