Upnp cache

how do you clear the upnp cache on the Naim App for ipad/iphone?

iPad Naim App>Settings>Other Settings>Clear Image Cache

Hi and thanks. Image cache is only for images not for contents.

It’s in UPnP
Settings>UPnP>Clear Cache

Can I ask why you think you need this ?

Navigate to your device home page in the Naim app, then go to Settings > App Settings > Reset App. It’s at the bottom of the list, so you may need to scroll down. Note that this will also reset the app to defaults.

Since my Uniti can no longer access the iRadio stations, I am exploring an alternative: AssetUPnP can stream iRadio using the TUNEIN service. By entering the user ID associated with your TUNEIN account, it’s also possible to view a list of favorite stations. The only issue is that when I add a new favorite station on the TUNEIN website, the Naim app doesn’t show it until after several minutes. Mr. Spoon suspects this is due to the cache in the Naim app. So, I am looking for a method to reset the cache. Unfortunately theres not an upnp cache only reset.

Are you saying that my post above on clearing the UPnP cache doesn’t do it for you ?.?.?

Hi, in settings I do not see any upnp choice

Settings, input settings, upnp, then clear cache

Sorry, I missed out the Input step.
Now corrected

Sorry but under
settings > system settings > input settings > upnp I find only ā€˜input enabled’ and ā€˜input name’

I see this with iPad tablet with iOS app 7.4.1
Also similar on s.phone with Android app

iOS 18.3.2
iPad 9th gen
App 7.4.1

No clear option!
And looks completely different to above.

Go figure.

Doesn’t appear on iPhone either.

It’s here:

I wonder what controls the appearance?

Tried renaming input back to UPnP but made no difference. Maybe my devices have NO cache? Browsed our NAS artist list (quite long) but this didn’t trigger the option either.

Hi HH, that’s the Image Cache, it’s the UPnP Cache clear that some peeps are missing.

iPhone 14, same iOS - not shown.

I wonder if it’s triggered by something device side.

But my app has a very different presentation to yours - wordy help text on options……Also your tab is ā€œInput Settingsā€ whilst mine has input name ā€œRipsā€.

It’s the last option, reset app. Clears the upnp cache.

I suspect it’s from the device firmware package, mine’s an NDX with v4.9.40.

That makes sense. Can’t check SuperUniti because we don’t have it networked any more (sources are networked) so no naim app for that one.
