hi. sorry if it’s a daft question . i have a muso QB 2 nd gen. when i plug my usb drive in , it only finds about a third of the albums . i’ve tried different drives , same issue . yet when i plug those drives into my laptop , all the items are there?
thanks in advance
Mark
I would probably start by identifying files that wont play, then just try those on the usb stick. If that fails, then we will be asking questions about those files - e.g. a screen shot of them showing in file manager would be a good start
Do I remember reading something about a 500 track limit on Playlists and the QB maybe treating the Memory Stick contents as such?
I’m probably talking complete rubbish, but just a thought.
yeah i had heard that previously , it did play all the files previously but not now . they are a mix of MP3 and FLAC files
hi . yes it’s ex Fat i believe ? is this the correct format
usb input on the back . i’ve tried 2 different usb sticks and both have have the same problem z it seems that it won’t go past albums that start with the letter F ? then recycle bin after that . very strange .
yeah . usb is in the back and control the unit off the app. is that what you mean ? thanks
yeah , mine only plays off usb input as when i select server it doesn’t find the usb that’s plugged in . it’s the Muso QB so maybe that’s why as it’s not a streamer is it ??
it’s quite mad , but it’s created a folder called contents and dropped a load of folders (the missing ones ) in there
Have you checked the following which talks about the Joint Stereo files having issues
i haven’t but will do thank you
Correct, this option isn’t there on Musos.
yeah i’ll see if i can rearrange it all and see what happens then
is there anyway for the app to display the albums etc rather than artist ?can i change the app settings for this many thanks
yeah . so when i look at the stick plugged into the laptop . it looks totally different from how it looks on the app. wondering if apps settings can be changed
You are confusing things by constantly referring to the Server view in the Naim app which is not available on a Muso. Apart from that they are essentially the same, but the USB input is what you have to use on a Muso unless you run a UPnP server on your network.
so. when i view im stick in windows browser there looks to be miles more files then when i view on the main app when the usb is plugged into the muso. do you know why this would be ? also is there any way , on the naim app, of allowing me to see folder name such as album rather than the app sorting by artist name , then you have to click that to view each album . thanks in advance
