Yes, although the obvious drawback here is that the speakers will be operating along with the headphone amp. Ideally, if you wish to keep the energiser then you may be better off with a different dedicated power amp to drive it. FWIW, I used a Quad 606 to drive my SRD-7SBMK2 and Lambda Pros and it worked very well. Or else change the energiser to one that works from a line out and has its own amp and volume control.
Would it work to a plug from one of the terminals on each speaker when using headphones? Or is it that the connected speaker load is critical? (Easy if connected using banana plugs, with the additional cable wired into the plugs.)
That’s true, hmmm, dang. I think I’m going to have to remove the Stax from the system for now until I buy a couple of longer runs of speaker cable at a later date. Ah well.
