Vacation rig

I like to have great music on vacation. We are renting a beach house in the San Juans (drove) and I brought this along. Call me a tweeker, I don’t care! Pretty great! I used to bring an io but I gave that away, this Creek is small enough to get in a large Pelican case along with everything else. BTW those are ADS L200C’s…great little things.

Nice topic! I briefly daydreamed last week of a Nait 2, NACA5 and IBLs in our rented cottage.

It does occur to me that if we bring the Creek, our N50 is a perfectly good option as well .

Great setup. I like the idea of using a Mojo. Mine is much more modest. Astell&Kern A&norma SR35 DAP with a KEF MUO powered speaker. Also use bluetooth connection to stream from the phone.

Mu-so seems to be the obvious answer (I would say that given that I just bought one )

I use a Minirig Bluetooth speaker with Roon Arc. This not the greatest fidelity but does the job.

I do also have a Minirig which I take for biz travel etc., and it is always a nice little luxury…I like the sound though I have to lower the bass as much as possible.

Lol. I’m right next door to you on Vancouver Island visiting with family. Using Roon arc for music for the first time

Sydney/Victoria BC. About to make a day trip to Vancouver for sightseeing. Vancouver is a second city for me.

Those ADS speakers look tiny, especially given how big the speaker cable looks that’s connecting them. A quick look online reminds me of the tiny Visonik David micro speakers.

I always wanted one of these when they came out

We used to stick a “Boom Box” in the car for our holidays in France, with a selection of, er …. cassette tapes.

Yep those odd things we had about thirty years ago.

We still have a few cassettes left. No tape player in the house, but I think Sue’s Audi TT can still play them. My old Audi A6 had both a CD & cassette player, but the Q5 doesn‘t even have a CD player! USB Stick, or “paid for streaming” (and fcuk that!)

They really are tiny James. For the size, they sound remarkably good. They are even smaller than the tiny Cantons, and in my opinion better.

Good idea. Always miss music on holiday.
