Only 65, goodness me. It was a shock to see him in Top Gun: Maverick so obviously ill a few years ago.
Apparently not always the easiest to work with, but his performance as Tom Kazansky in the original Top Gun will stay with many of us.

Shocked to see that news a few minutes ago. His Doc Holliday role in Tombstone was brilliant. Seems odd how that character died of respiratory problems too.
He was great in Tombstone. I always loved Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang in which he starred with Robert Downey Jr - v funny turn from him
