Video editing software

I’ve recently bought a new PC with a specification that can handle 4K files. I’m trying to find a reliable software package to edit video clips. I’ve got Pinnacle 15 on my old PC but it’s now too slow to be useful.

The problem I have is the mixed bag of reviews for providers such as Pinnacle, PowerDirector etc. I don’t want a monthly subscription service happy to pay up to around £100. I’ve made family wedding videos and for our own entertainment holiday videos. I’d be grateful for some end user experience to help making a decent purchase.

Ackers

Just spotted before ‘creating topic’ that Ackers converted to ‘Suckers’ !!
Glad I spotted that one!!

Try wondershsre filmora. I’ve tried open source ones eg shotcut and similar but didn’t get on with them.

Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve is free.
