You have the advantage over me in that you’ve heard Honeck live in concert. I have only his recordings to go by.
No conductor pleases everyone and I guess these are instances where we will have to differ on our opinions of Honeck and Thielemann.
Though I do envy you the chance of hearing the CSO!
Depends on where you are, atm, CSO is on European tour!
bummer that they are skipping the Concertgebouw. Would have been interesting to hear them in a different venue other than the familiar Orchestra Hall.
Looks to be quite a long tour. Lucky for people able to visit some of those venues. There is nothing like hearing a top orchestra live in the concert hall.
