Outfit called The Vintage Audio Shop in Buffalo NY popped up on my Facebook describing these as “Neat little NAIM audio stack” no details, I dont recognise those teardrop shaped knobs, any idea what they have there?
Just a guess
Top: SNAPS with new knob
Middle: NAC42
Bottom: NAP110/140 with new knob
Nice little stack.
Got any views of the back faces?
Never seen tear drop knobs,
Have seen knobs that look like pinball flippers,
How much they asking?
Might be worth a punt,
I just love the look of the chrome bumper units. They always managed to look like they came from the ‘Radio Spares’ catalogue but that’s been part of the appeal. The message I take is everything that’s there is there for musical enjoyment and the development budget has been spent on the inside.
Didn’t the early tuner power supply have a flipper-like selector on it?
Yes, similar in style but not exactly the same.
They do not look ‘right’…
But the Tractor Wheels on the NAC42 are spot on…!!
The SNAPS here would have had a small round grey plastic knob (as used in the NAC12, 22, and early bolt-down 32), and the NAP110 a large grey “tractor wheel”.
I think you would at least want all the knobs to be a very similar colour - jars a little
