What are you driving and why would we be interested?

Around 82,250 when I glanced at mileometer yesterday.

Thanks Bruce but no. The rented garage does not have mains power.

Shame

Just clarify, mine is an outdoor one.

No. I refuse to be cover shamed, or not having a garage with mains power shamed.

I post here for pleasure, hence the pics of my partner’s car after the work was done on the front.

I think you have misunderstood

Agree. (The car in its movie outfit was part of the I Robot film with Wil Smith) I Owned a 1.4TDI (02 plate) Ridiculously expensive but it was an all aluminium build. Very Economical. Low CO2 emissions. Reliable. And very different to anything else on the road (except perhaps the first edition of Mercedes A class, you remember the one, it failed the moose test before Mercedes added some clever traction control electronics).

But stupidly, I forgot to order ‘suspension’ on mine. I believe it was an optional extra :winking_face_with_tongue:. Man did it hate potholes! I remember driving it on the roads in Galway and thought a wheel had come off. Sadly the electric roof jammed too. But apart from all that it had a reasonable Bose sound system with a subwoofer and was actually quit nice to drive.

Traded it in for a scirocco 2.0 TSI. That is a great car.

The engine of our E21 was pretty much toast at the same figure but in km’s not miles

@Christopher_M

I am sorry, my post was not meant to be in any way critical or derogatory.

Sorry that is how you interpreted it.

Bruce

Thank you.

I have this Opel Frontera for 13 days. I booked a Peugeot 208 but the guy said I’ll give you something nicer.

It is virtually the same car as the Citroen C3 Air cross and a couple of other cars I think.
It looks a bit of a truck, but it is spacious, easy to drive, quite quiet, comfortable, 143 bhp mild hybrid so economy and performance is decent. Quite impressive really.
Not exciting to drive but I guess it does what it says on the tin. I think it would look better and smaller in a dark colour.
