I thought my world clock app wasn’t working. It’s alright I understand now.
Still late/early though.

UK mono CBS first press. Glorious sound and
despite its age, this music never gets old.
Whole (student) household went to watch this on acid. It was intense! Mate wandered down to the screen to get a closer look but bumped into the usherette - Kia-Ora everywhere.
Up there with the great British singers (& songwriters) of the 70’s.
Been looking for this album for a while then it turns up out of the blue on Qobuz.
Jess Roden - Jess Roden (1974)
Led Zeppelin - Untitled.
Japanese version from 2003. Tip on style gatefold sleeve, Japanese and English lyric sheet, and sounds very nice.
Postie just delivered a new artist to me, Helado Negro - Far In, thanks to 4AD mailing list.
Well it’s a massive departure from the usual stable mates at 4AD.
Rhythmic, laid back with subtle beats pulsing through, just need a beach, beer and watch the sun drop into the sea, lovely stuff.
D*ck Dale And His Deltones - Surfers Choice (Tidal)
@AndyP …in my teenage years nearly bought a Jess Roden lp called Far Canal…just for the title, probably to shock my mum!!!
I have that album brilliant but it’s by a different Jess or Jody.
Jody Grind.
Stevie, I believe the very UK the first pressing was on Fontana as Columbia records did not have the rights to the Columbia name at the time.
1959 - UK Fontana Mono LP (TFL 5085).
Earliest ever pressing on the Fontana label in flipback cover.
1L>1 and 2L>1 matrix numbers.
I suppose my memory fades a little after all the years. Quite right it was Jody Grind…oh well! Its not only memory issues at post 65!
Cheers, Tony. I didn’t know that…I assumed the CBS was the first UK release (going by the AA/BB matrices, the CBS has 1L etching too). I assume the CBS then is an early 60s release (flipback cover) Interesting… thanks!
