Now playing-
Luvvit.
One of my fave bands over the last few years.
The Rolling Stones - Shine A Light, listening to the audio from the dvd, a massive improvement from the mastering abomination that is the cd.
Steely Dan. FM ( no static at all ). Love this track, had to buy a compilation album to get it.
Elvis Costello - Get Happy
Vinyl.
Pink Floyd. More.
Back in the 60s there were two reasons I watched this film in the cinema. One being the soundtrack was by the Floyd.
Khachaturian. Sparticus. Vinyl. Lovely. It is still hard though to stop the Onedin Line from entering your head.
Volume 2 is available on double vinyl @Buster . Bit pricey but I’ve ordered my copy from the big river.
Heads up for Beeb 4 this evening.
23.00 - OGW features a live performance from The Kinks at Shepherd’s Bush, in 1977.
23.45 - Tina Weymouth introduces a study of the contribution of bass to popular music.
