Indulgently comparing these.

FWIW: both the vinyl and the surround mix have their merits, especially the exceptionally rendered voice layering in the latter. That said, overall it’s the vinyl version I prefer.

Keith sued the The Dan - Keith won. They nicked one of the songs for Gaucho - I think Keith gets a credit on the Dan album now.

From the 7-LP Box Set 5, the classic Why Black Men Dey Suffer, with Fela’s superb electric piano playing to the fore. Ginger Baker is on this one, but it’s difficult to see (or hear) what he brings to the party, as he simply wasn’t as good a drummer as Tony Allen was.
