Now playing…

Elina Duni - Lost Ships

Elina Duni (Voice), Rob Luft (Guitar), Fred Thomas (Piano, Drums) and Matthieu Michel (Flugelhorn).

Streaming on Qobuz (88.2/24)… continuing on this morning with Elina’s ‘Lost Ships’ and, as always, she and her talented group of musicians are sounding sublime! This is one fine album…

Interesting. Cant say I hear my copy like that. Do you use a cleaning machine at all. I have found that records that otherwise sound clean pressing wise have inproved SQ after a wet/vaccuum clean, often sweeter and a bit more transparent.

On CD:-

Sea Power - Everything Was Forever

Scorpions - Lovedrive 1979
Hard to believe the band had been going 14 years before this was released.

With all the talk of the current Brit jazz explosion let’s not forget the last generation. The sweet trumpet of Byron Wallen in this noughties jazz meets north Africa Sufi music Meeting Ground. CD rip via portable hi-def player.

Steven Wilson - Hand.Cannot.Erase

Some wonderful guitar playing on this album from Guthrie Govan and excellent vocals from Ninet.

Mmm, maybe mine does need a good clean. Worth a try.
I’ve got a wet cleaning device, and my mate has an Okki at his shop, so will give it a go.

John Martyn. Not his best but still good.
